Objectives: BCVB wanted to take advantage of the new 2015 Pocket Ranger® Texas State Parks mobile app to generate broad awareness for the recreational activities in its area, with special focus on canoeing and bird watching.
Solution: Because Beaumont, TX is located within Region 4 of the Texas state park system, they created a campaign comprised of both strategically targeted static banner ads plus rotating banners throughout the Pocket Ranger® Texas State Park app. This strategy made Beaumont County the “place to go to” for all users interested in bird watching and recreational opportunities at the areas many lakes.
Result: Beaumont reached a valuable, concentrated target audience of outdoor recreation-oriented families and sportspersons with uncluttered SOV via the newly launched Pocket Ranger® Texas State Parks mobile app. By moving quickly to become a “charter sponsor”, Beaumont steered users from around Texas to its part of the state, stimulating incremental revenues for area businesses.
